Farm Party: dance under the mid-summer moon
We used to call Farm Party the Summer Moon Party — it was often held under the mid-summer moon. The English call it the Grain Moon. It is also called the dog moon, the red moon and the red corn moon. Such magical names. And it is a magical time: the corn is getting high, the vegetables are ripe and abundant, we are well fed, warm, and full of sun.
So much to celebrate.
So we invite you all to join us for a meal, some music, and general community cheer at the PEAS Farm for the Farm Party – and though we will not be dancing under a full mid-summer moon, we will be dancing, eating and drinking on August 16th under a sliver of a summer moon. Join us anytime after 5:30 pm.
Tom Catmull and the Clerics will be playing, and Mudslide Charley will kick us off with their gutbucket blues.
Families welcome, sometimes there are more kids than adult on the dance floor (or should I say dance grass?).
