Workshop: Pest & Disease Management

  • Providence Community Garden 206 North 2nd Street West Missoula, MT, 59802 United States (map)

workshop details

Forgoing the use of pesticides in your garden does not mean sacrificing your garden to pests and disease. In fact, organic gardening practices go hand-in-hand with management techniques that will benefit both your garden and the environment.

We are honored to have extension agent Sandy Perrin for this detailed discussion on managing pests and disease without the use of harmful chemicals.

Start with the basics of identification, participants will be introduced to the most common pest problems in the Missoula Valley. From there we will discuss prevention strategies and non-toxic treatment options. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and experience to the conversation.

Your season in the garden need not be a battle with unwanted occupants. Join us for an evening of constructive conversation and set yourself up for a successful season!
