Workshop details
Join us to kick off the new workshop season with our first ever, and much requested, sourdough workshop!
This workshop will provide you with the fundamentals of maintaining a happy starter, baking bodacious loaves, and using your sourdough in a variety of non-loaf projects (chocolate cake anyone?).
Whether you're scratching your head at the idea of a "happy starter", or eager for new sourdough recipes, this class will expand your sourdough horizons. Learn a variety of sourdough applications (taste-testing included!) and return home with your own, thriving sourdough starter!
about the instructor
Alexandra Brown attended the University of Montana, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Environmental Studies, after which she dug into the worlds of conservation and agriculture. Her time farming fostered a love of cooking, preserving and sharing food, and her mission is to honor our local farmers and food system by empowering individuals to grow and eat local food. Her favorite fermented food is kimchi, with all other ferments taking a close second.
