Highlights
Description: Established in 1996, River Road Farm offers community garden plots, a summer CSA share program and a winter CSA share program offering produce good for canning, freezing, and storing over winter. A green oasis just off Russell Street, the River Road Farm bustles in the spring, summer and fall with farmers, volunteers, community gardeners, CSA members, and a flock of chickens. The farm produces 4,000-6,000 pounds of produce each year for the Poverello Center. Through the Volunteer for Veggies program, over 150 people volunteer at the farm, taking home vegetables for their labors.

CSA Share Program
PICKUPS: Pickup times are 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm Mondays or Thursdays starting in early June and ending in early October.

For 18 weeks you will receive a share of locally grown vegetables (a large share is more than 350 pounds, and an average cost of $1.50 per pound). Our CSA is different because we think outside the box: meaning you come to the farm each week and pack your box full of high quality, lovingly grown produce. We love getting to know you, cultivating a community, and getting as many people out on the farm as possible. We think you'll like coming out to the farm each week for a moment of zen, too.
Large share: $575
For 18 weeks you will receive a share of locally grown vegetables (a large share is more than 350 pounds, and an average cost of $1.50 per pound). When you take part in the CSA, you have the opportunity to pick your own flowers from a wide variety of blooms, share recipes and more! Pick up the vegetables once a week at River Road.
Small share: $375
Large share too much to handle? A small share is a great alternative. You get the same vegetable varieties and pick up times as the large share, only you receive about 60% of a large share.
Storage share: $575
Our winter share offers approximately 350 lbs of vegetables. All the vegetables are suitable for canning, freezing or storing for the winter. Share holders will pick up large quantities of vegetables, July through October, that include storage varieties of carrots, onions, beets, potatoes, cabbage, garlic, and more.
