The folks who make our work possible

Our work is made possible in large part by donations from families and individuals of the Missoula community. Want to be one of those folks? Here are some ways to give:

Become a Friend of the Harvest and sustain our work this year and into the future by making a three year pledge to our organization at $1,000 or more. Friends will be listed in our annual report and treated to garden tours and special events. Contact us to make your pledge.

Help a household with low income buy a CSA Share. With a donation of $260 to $500 you can purchase a share for a family in need. CSA shares are one of the best ways to have a steady supply of vegetables for a family and a great way to learn about local food, where it's grown, and how to cook it. CSA shareholders get weekly newsletters with recipes and tips, and visit the farm and get to know their farmers.

Here are some other ways to help:

  • $25 is enough to pay the summer rent of a garden plot for a low-income family.
  • $90 is enough to rent a porta-potty for a community garden for one month.
  • $100 is enough to pay for biodiesel for a neighborhood farm tractor.
  • $150 is enough to pay for electricity each month to run the irrigation pump at the PEAS Farm.
  • $250 pays for 18 weeks of vegetables to go to a low-income family.

You can also support us simply by doing your shopping and internet searching at www.goodsearch.com - download the toolbar and many of the stores you purchase from online will automatically donate a percentage to Garden City Harvest, without you giving anything!
